This exciting new group of schools is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Manager to support the Head of Marketing to build and enhance the group’s reputation and to showcase and celebrate each of its individual schools.
You will act as brand guardian, as well as developing, creating and implementing strategic communications plans, managing PR campaigns, and ensuring that all messaging and materials align with values and objectives.

The role
Devise a clear external communications plan that delivers key points of difference and ensure that we are keeping the brand at the forefront of relevant media attention
Clear articulation of the group’s overarching points of difference and drive key themes
Developing media strategy, writing blogs and media pieces, building relationships with journalists
Ensure that all communications within the schools, as well as those from staff to parents, are communicated with clarity and consistency and that there is a clear plan; including handbooks, letters, reports, parent portal, newsletters/weekly comms
Coordinate and draft high-quality communications to drive employee understanding of the schools, and how they are differentiated within the wider market - including supporting senior leaders with their communication needs.
About you
Excellent written, verbal and editing skills, and experience in creating a strong communications plan and writing and creating a wide variety of high-quality communication materials in a news, media or editorial environment.
In-depth understanding and experience of working with senior stakeholders on multiple communications and/or writing projects to tight deadlines.
Strong track record of working on creative, multimedia campaigns including videos, podcasts, social media and website updates.
A strong appreciation and understanding of independent education and the London secondary school sector in particular.
